Our Teachers

We currently have a wonderful, united team of nine full-time teachers.  Each one has real concern for the current and future needs of our students.  Working closely together, supporting each other in times of difficulty, we all pitch in to reach our goal of giving our students a quality education in an environment of love and encouragement.

Born in California, Connie has lived in Varanasi for ten years.  She has a Master’s Degree in Linguistics with a concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language.  She acts as principal and English instructor.

 

 

 

 

 

kiran_sm.jpgLower Kindergarten teacher Kiran Singh

Primarily teaches those students who have gotten a late start in school.  Although these children are a bit older than most kindergarten children, they still must start with ABCs, 123s, and क, ख, ग, घ (the Hindi alphabet).  Kiran Ma’am teaches the children with skill, maintaining each child’s sense of dignity.   She holds a Master’s Degree in Hindi and has been teaching for four years.

She manages to control and educate eager students with talent, enthusiasm and considerable patience.  She lays a strong foundation for our students as they move into higher classes.  She has twelve years teaching experience.

He was raised in a situation similar to our students so he understands their special needs.  He is also proof that diligence in studies pays off.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Science and uses this knowledge to teach science to our 6th grade students.

He brings excellent English and critical thinking skills to the classroom and is loved for the way he teaches beyond the textbook,.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce.  He teaches computer to our 2nd and 4th graders and Social Studies to our 6th grade students.

She brings creativity and joy to the school.  Holding a Master’s Degree in Sociology, she gives our youngest students a happy introduction to the world of learning.  She has three years teaching experience and is currently working on her
B. Ed. degree.

With three years teaching experience she guides our students as they move on to reading, writing and ‘rithmatic.  She also coordinates  many of our extra-curricular activites including song, dance, and drama performances.

Takes our students on the next step of their education journey.  She has nine years teaching experience and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Home Science, and Political Science.

Holding a bacherlor’s degree in English and Political Science, Sandeep Sir instructs our 3rd graders with intelligence and concern.   Before joining our school, Sandeep Sir had administered another education-based project with the aim of freeing children from the bonds of child labor. He has been involved with helping underprivileged children for five years.

With a B.A. in history Saroj excels in computer and math skills.  With admirable dedication, Saroj Sir combines humor and serious study to lay the final layer of preparation as our older students move from junior to senior school.  He has been teaching children for eight years.
